Eros Ramazzotti, born in Rome but now based in Milan, is a very popular artist in Italy. Over a career spanning 25 years, he has sold over 50 million records and has had great success all over Europe and in South American countries. He is also a very familiar name within Spanish speaking communities residing in the USA as he records his songs not only in his native tongue, Italian but also in Spanish.
Eros is probably best known for his romantic love songs, unique voice and uncanny ability to evoke a depth of human feeling that can be felt even if you do not understand the language in which he sings. He has recorded songs with many leading artists such as Tina Turner, Cher, Anastasia, Ricky Martin and Andrea Bocelli.
Recent Achievements
In April 2008, Eros was awarded the prestigious National American Italian Foundation (NIAF) award in Hollywood for his work towards reflecting a positive Italian image abroad. He follows previous esteemed recipients such as Liza Minnelli, Frank Sinatra and Luciano Pavarotti.
The last time Eros toured was also in 2008, in Australia, his first time performing there. It was a huge sell-out success, with much anticipation from fans for a return visit.
Ali e Radici New Album
The latest album by Eros Ramazzotti, ‘Ali e Radici’ or ‘Wings and Roots’ released through Sony BMG Music Entertainment was first available world wide on June 2nd 2009. It is his 11th studio album and was recorded in Los Angeles; a Spanish version is also available entitled Alas y Raices.

The Ali e Radici 2009/2010 tour, named after the new album kicks off 17th October 2009 in Rimini, Italy and finishes in Milan, Italy on the 10th April 2010. Stops along the way will include dates in France, Germany, Russia, Belgium, Spain and more.
